Awards & Recognition Over the years Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. has received industry and community awards that express our core values and goals of excellence! Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. received the 1991 NIB Employment Achievement Award for its increase in blind direct labor employment hours and excellence in contract performance. Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. was recognized with a Gold Award for Excellence by the Defense Supply Center Columbus in both 2003 and 2004. The award is based upon past performance which includes on time delivery and quality. Lions Industries for the Blind, Inc. was named the Defense Logistics Agency's Outstanding JWOD Program Vendor for 2004. This recognition is bestowed annually upon a JWOD supplier that exemplifies excellence. Lions Industries provides small arms cleaning swabs to the DLA (DSCC News Release).
